How do I calculate the number of days left in my semester?

Subtract today's date from your semester end date to get the total calendar days remaining. For school days only, count the weekdays (Monday through Friday) between today and the last day. What is the difference between calendar days and school days remaining?

Calendar days include every day of the week — weekdays and weekends. School days (weekdays) count only Monday through Friday, excluding Saturdays and Sundays. Most students find the school-day count more useful for planning assignments and exams.

How long is a typical semester?

A standard college semester runs approximately 15–16 weeks, or around 75 school days. High school semesters are similar. Quarters typically last 10–12 weeks, while trimesters run about 12–13 weeks each.
