What is VLT percentage in window tinting?

VLT (Visible Light Transmission) represents the percentage of visible light that passes through the window. A lower VLT means darker tint - 5% is very dark, while 70% is light tint.

How do I calculate the final tint percentage?

Final VLT = (Window Tint VLT × Original Glass VLT) ÷ 100. For example, 35% tint on 88% factory glass results in (35 × 88) ÷ 100 = 30.8% final VLT.
