Frequently Asked Questions

What is a parlay bet?

A parlay is a single wager that links two or more individual bets together. All selections in the parlay must win for the bet to pay out — if even one leg loses, the entire parlay loses. The reward for this added risk is a significantly higher payout than placing each bet separately.

How do I calculate a parlay payout?

To calculate a parlay payout, convert each leg's American odds to decimal odds, then multiply all the decimal odds together to get the combined multiplier. Multiply that by your stake to get the total payout, and subtract your stake to get the profit. This calculator does all of that math automatically.

How do parlay odds work?

Each time you add a leg to a parlay, the odds compound — meaning they multiply rather than add. A two-leg parlay at -110 each pays out at roughly +260, while a three-leg parlay at -110 each pays around +596. The more legs you add, the bigger the potential payout, but also the lower the chance all legs win.

What if one bet in my parlay pushes (ties)?

If one leg of your parlay results in a push (a tie with no winner), most sportsbooks remove that leg from the parlay and reduce it by one game. So a 4-team parlay with one push becomes a 3-team parlay. The odds and payout are recalculated accordingly.

What if I lose one game in a parlay?

If any single leg in your parlay loses, the entire parlay loses and you forfeit your wager. There are no partial payouts on standard parlays — every leg must win for you to collect.

Should I make parlay bets?

Parlays offer exciting, high-reward potential but carry a much lower expected value than single bets due to sportsbook margins compounding across every leg. They're best used as an entertainment play for a small portion of your bankroll, not as a primary betting strategy.

What types of bets can be parlayed together?

Most sportsbooks allow point spreads, moneylines, and over/unders (totals) to be parlayed together across different games and sports. Some books also allow player prop bets in parlays, though same-game parlay rules can vary by sportsbook.

Are a parlay calculator and an odds payout calculator the same thing?

They are related but not identical. A parlay calculator specifically combines multiple bet odds to show your combined payout. A general odds payout calculator works for single bets. This tool is designed specifically for parlays — combining odds for 2 or more legs into one combined result.
