If the end time is earlier than the start time, it assumes the period crosses midnight and adds 24 hours accordingly.
The calculator handles overnight periods automatically. If the end time is less than the start time after conversion, it adds 24 hours to the end time so the result correctly spans midnight. For example, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM will return 8 hours.
